    I'm going to keep update to this. I would like to see how Falcao and Guarin are performing.

    Hey Cheeky, how do you think about the Colombians?

    I still have yet to really soak in whats all up to date on Porto. I'm still learning, visiting the stadium and everything.

    So far, Freddy seems to be alright, more of a defensive midfielder I presume. Though I could see him helping out on free kicks when Porto have a chance. He scored his first goal for Porto with a free kick against Monaco. The french club they beat 3-0 in the Champions League final in, 2004 I believe. So he should be able to perform well.

    Falcao, erm, I don't he's had a start yet. But from what I hear he has promise.

    And I hope that helps, I'm only finding out more and more about Porto as I stay here. Wink

    cheeky are you in Porto?

    i visited Porto in february for 3 days while in portugal. i went to see Porto vs Sporting - the stadium is gorgeous, eh?

    while in porto i went to several of the port wine places for tastings and walked all over the city and took a boat ride along the main waterway.

    the nightlife was pretty good. we went out on a sunday night which was apparently a busier night than friday or saturday.

    as for varela - the guy has potential - he's got some pace and can be a good sub for porto - the main wingers will probably be someone like cristian rodrigues and mariano gonzales with varela starting occassionally or being a super sub to change the pace of the game...

    guarin is in a tough situation - he's on a team that's pretty deep with midfielders. that injury he got last year really set him back as he was the starter at the beginning of the last season and played in several group stage games for porto during the champion's league. hopefully this year things will be different. we'll find out shortly....

    No, no, I mentioned the french club, the one they beat in 2004. Their friendly happened to be the same scoreline. Very Happy

    And easy guys, I don't know much about Porto. I'm still watching their games and still getting accustomed to everything here.

    I like to travel and take photographs and needed a good vacation, thats why I went to Porto. The stadium is fantastic, I got my tickets to watch their CL match and hope to follow them past the group stage. I'll see how it turns out. Wink

    What's your thoughts on Lucho and Lopez leaving? Lucho was somewhat important to Porto no? If I had to choose a Portugues team it'd be Benfica. Watched a few of their games last season when I was bored. Will keep up to date with this thread.

    Good result for Porto yesterday.

    3 :: 1 win away to Naval.

    Was a good match. Watched it while listening to TFC-Seattle. Porto were in control for the most part, never in danger of dropping any points tbh.
