    Let's get it started here.

I just read that the All-Star game for 2010 has been awarded to Houston. I get why the club might deserve it, but come on. NY has a new stadium going up and the guys in Seattle just spend big bucks to got a heavily supported club up and going. So now we're looking at watching a game on a low level college campus?

Seriously Garber?? Sure.. Reliant stadium is an option, but unless they bring in a Mexican team it's doubtful they'll fill it up.

As much as I love it to be in New York, I'm glad its in Houston, so that I can go and attend the game. Very Happy

Yea, I'd have to agree with that almost point for point.

Houston, the Club, deserves to host one simply because of the success they've had over time. However, with New York opening their brand new stadium, not only would it have been great for the city, the stadium and the Club but it would have helped promote the league even more.

Showing off a new jazzy stadium is a great sign for your league, to the rest of the country/world.

Garber makes a few too many of this questionable decision's for my liking. Honestly, after 2012, and once all new Clubs have entered the league, I think it may be time for a new regime change to take the league to the next level.

That would be fine with me, however we BOTH know Garber will tout his "expansion of the league" and "addition of x number of SSS's" in a bid to stay on longer.

Of course depending on how the Beckham Fiasco ends up, it could usher Garber out.

Hopefully, this idea of having the All-Star Game down in Houston, helps them get their own stadium, in some capcity in the near future.

Regardless if you like the Club, they certainly deserve their own SSS, as much as anyone in the league if not more. The idea of them being forced to relocate again to a city that promises to build a SSS would be bad for the league but mostly the Club.

I think the MLS All Star game will be a success in Houston. Judging from the Free-Kick masters here in Houston in 2008, it was a completely full Stadium in Reliant and not with just "Mexicans or Latinos"

Don't get me wrong.. I don't care where supporters come from.. as long as there are supporters. I certainly wish we had more of the Latino crowd heading up to Frisco for an FC Dallas game.

I'm a big fan of MLS, and I understand due to the success of Houston why they are giving the all-star match to them this year.

It's okay, plus, is the new NY stadium finished? If it is, then they might get in next year, you never know.

Also Seattle has the best crowd in the whole league!

The MLS All star game in Houston is in 2010, and New York can be potentially be in 2011

I know the Seattle Seahawks organization has worked very respectively with the Sounders but I wonder at what point does the Sounders ownership group want to start plans of their own SSS.

While the layout is beautiful and the grounds-crew remove any american-football has marks, on the financial side, surely the Sounders could be profited much more without having to pay rental fees, etc for using Qwest Field.

Given the fan base and turnout, they obviously have a legit claim to having a stadium of their own, potentially in the near future.

Looking forward to see the Portland Timber next.

Yea, with Portland and then Vancouver coming in - the fan bases are going to get a jolt of energy and class.

Those two additions are going to build off the success Seattle has enjoyed in terms of marketing and fanbase, I believe.

I'd imagine that Seattle will need a proven track record of attendance before they get a SSS. If they do, I'd certainly hop it would be in or near downtown like it is now. The fact that supporters gather at DT pubs and walk in is very very cool.
