I just read that the All-Star game for 2010 has been awarded to Houston. I get why the club might deserve it, but come on. NY has a new stadium going up and the guys in Seattle just spend big bucks to got a heavily supported club up and going. So now we're looking at watching a game on a low level college campus?
Seriously Garber?? Sure.. Reliant stadium is an option, but unless they bring in a Mexican team it's doubtful they'll fill it up.
Yea, I'd have to agree with that almost point for point.
Houston, the Club, deserves to host one simply because of the success they've had over time. However, with New York opening their brand new stadium, not only would it have been great for the city, the stadium and the Club but it would have helped promote the league even more.
Showing off a new jazzy stadium is a great sign for your league, to the rest of the country/world.
Garber makes a few too many of this questionable decision's for my liking. Honestly, after 2012, and once all new Clubs have entered the league, I think it may be time for a new regime change to take the league to the next level.
