I know this have been discuss before, but I been hearing with the recent sucess of the MLS as of lately that a Miami Team would happen possibly succeed. Specially if they can grab a youth Product like Fredy Montero

Or any chance that Barcelona will make a new deal?

Eric Wynalda is stepping in on Fox Football Fone-in for Stephen Cohen, who has pretty much lost everything since his Hillsborough comments.

Less blowing Chelski, more blowing the MLS! and there is much rejoicing... cheers

After I read his twitter comments...:Wynalda's alleged twitter comments
...I had written him off completely.

Since then, apparently, he's come out and said that his twitter page was " hacked ". If anyone from the FIFA board remembers, I couldn't care less for Twitter and think it's 99 % bullshit anyhow.

With that said, apparently this was his official twitter account. Whether or not it was hacked isn't something I can't confirm but I have a sneaking suspicion it wasn't.

    That's just me.

Regarding him replacing Cohen, I think that's a sincere disappointment. While I think the opinion or remarks he made could have potentially injured an already open wound, I think the response in an overly negative reaction from Liverpool supporters has been just as bad if not worse.

To think it cost him sponsors and potentially his job on FSC because massive amounts of 'pool supporters flooded emails, phone-lines and most importantly, made death threats on him and his family, routinely, made me lose a lot of respect I would for any supposed "victim" in a scenerio.

With that said, I think most of us know Cohen didn't really care for Nick Webster or the direction at times of the production.

Perhaps it'll give him more focus and drive then to make World Soccer Daily, an even bigger program.

    He said:
Liverpool fans should "share responsibility' for the deaths of the 96'' crushed

in the Hillsborough disaster. Definitely insensitive but the degree it has been blown out of proportions to, imo, has been unneeded.

As long as it isnt WSD.

As for Cohen's comments on the disaster, whether they are wrong or not I think some Liverpool fans have taken it way too far, he would read 'hate mails' on WSD from them and there were some pretty serious threats, not just from the states but from Liverpool as well.

No idea, I haven't seen him online in a few days.

He has all the information of this messageboard but has yet to respond, I think he's enjoying his summer and not online as much recently.

Good to see.. I was just thinking.. look at what a great team we could put together with a higher salary cap!! I understand why MLS does what it does, but I wonder when they are going to loosen the reigns a bit?

    Post by M1ZZ0U Thu Jul 30, 2009 12:00 am

    What a game!

I had thought all along, if MLS were to lose their first match, I'd much rather it be to a side that has American GK, Timmy Howard.

That camera angle from a few feet behind the penalty kicker, was amazing, to say the least.

Fantastic clinic on Goalkeeping, Keller and Howard just put on display. Great image for MLS as a whole, too, on their production of this match.

Agreed, the next world cup should take some notes on that camera angle. That was really nice, felt like you were right behind them.

And hopefully more people will take notice of the MLS and come to terms instead of putting it off as a "League 1" or something else stupid.

Yea, I think that'd be a fantastic idea but they keepers would have to give it the ok, which I'm not sure they would.

However, they could institute some camera under the pitch, similiar to how the NBA has one near the free throw line, where the camera is undetectable but gives you a nice view.

That would be a reasonable comprimise.

The Penalty shoot out at the end was almost like the MLS version of the 3 pt. shootout or dunk contest, great display of skills there. Its disappointing to lose our streak but we played very well, these types of games help show the world how good the MLS really can be.

Good showing by the League and I was happy to see Howard excell so well. Man, is that guy class.

Exactly. It really didn't feel like a loss because it was Howard in the box.

As far as the camera angle is concerned, they could put a long lens on the far box for a similar shot without having to have a cameraman on the pitch.
